Bagnolet 21

Studies, 2003

This project consists of a proposal for the working methods that will be used to transform the highway interchange at the Bagnolet entrance into a contemporary pole of exchange with Paris and the 20th arrondissement.

The program seeks to invent a concept for the transformation of the city`s daily functions that would re group and unify its actors. At the same time, the concept would have to be rapidly implemented as changes within the existing implantations are not planned for the initial phases of the project. The solution consists of a surrounding tactic that will absorb the existing through osmosis and ultimately renew the site totally.

The project was selected and represented our office at the 2003 International Architecture Biennale of Rotterdam.
