Cabourg, Renovation and addition, 1989
Creating a new image for the casino first requires an in depth rediscovery of its initial functions and formal archetypes. A large enclosed veranda serves to re-create the relationship between the casino and the seafront. This generous space provides a meeting place where one can stroll calmly or simply relax while still functioning as a means of access to the gaming rooms and the hotel. Conceived as a glass box, the veranda acts as a showcase for the existing building.
